Summer Park Program

A safe, active, and fun summer experience for local youth—proudly serving Covington and Veedersburg through CAPWI.

The Summer Park Program is designed to provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment where children can spend their summer days staying active, making friends, and exploring new interests.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of experiences, including arts and crafts, organized sports, outdoor games, creative projects, team-based activities, swimming at the local pools, and field trips. Each day is designed to keep children moving, thinking, and interacting in a positive and supportive setting, while also encouraging creativity and social connection.

The program is open to youth who have completed Kindergarten through those who have just completed 6th grade, providing a fun and supportive summer environment for elementary and early middle school youth.

Community support plays an important role in helping these programs continue to thrive for local children and families. Through the generosity of community members, businesses, and supporters, the Summer Park Program is able to provide a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience for youth throughout the summer months.

Donations help fund activities, program supplies, arts and crafts materials, games, snacks and more that make the program both meaningful and memorable. Every contribution helps create opportunities for children to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy a positive summer environment.

CAPWI is interested in exploring opportunities to expand the Summer Park Program into additional communities and counties through local partnerships and community collaboration.

These programs are designed to provide children with a safe, active, and engaging summer environment while supporting families and strengthening local communities. We welcome conversations with schools, municipalities, organizations, and community leaders who may be interested in partnering with CAPWI to bring a Summer Park Program to their area.
