This past year has been a trying one for all of us, especially those needing transportation to their doctor’s appointments. Ridership is starting to pick up now since people are going to appointments opposed to having virtual appointments with their doctors.
Rising gasoline prices, van driver wages (which are barely above minimum wage), insurance, upkeep and repairs keep this little van service ever in need. Although we receive requests from surrounding counties, our assigned service area is Fountain and Warren Counties. We hustle just to fill our bi-county transportation needs. This past fiscal year we served 400 individuals, which was down from past years due to COVID. We currently own 5 vans and two sedans that help in transporting ambulatory clients on both long and short trips.
As you know, we are the only “public” type transportation for seniors and handicapped persons in the bi-county area. Hopefully, you’ve seen us everywhere in the bi-county area and sometimes enroute to neighboring cities. More than likely, we have transported someone in your neighborhood or in your family. We’ve been providing this much needed service for 43 years and hope to continue to serve the bi-county area for many years to come.
Because we are a private, not-for-profit corporation, we depend greatly on local support. We certainly appreciate and thank you for your continued support over the years. Your contribution is crucial for our elderly and disabled to remain in their own homes and independent.
We hope you will help us “Provide-A-Ride.”
- $25 will Provide-A-Ride under 50 miles round trip
- $50 will Provide-A-Ride under 100 miles round trip
- $100 will Provide-A-Ride under 200 miles round trip
In lieu of a thank you note, please accept our sincerest thank you in advance for your tax-deductible contribution.
