HELP MAC Van by providing a ride!
MAC Van needs your help keeping our transportation service running. You may have never thought about it, but out here in the rural counties, transportation is an issue. For some folks it’s a big deal.
What if I have to go for treatment at a medical facility and I can no longer drive myself?
What if my family can no longer take me to my doctor’s appointments when I am sick?
What if I need to pick up my prescriptions at the drug store and am unable to get there?
This could happen to all of us at some point and time in our lives. I know we hate to think about those things, but in reality, it could happen to each of us. I’m glad MAC Van is here to serve our communitites. MAC Van (Mobility for Area Citizens) is available to drive you to those facilities of those appointments when you no longer can take yourself. We operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. PIck-ups may be earlier than 8:30 am and return trips later than 5:00 pm when necessary. We are a not-for-profit organization that relies on Medicaid (pays transportation) payments, support from Area IV Agency on Aging, United Way of Danville Area, local support, and suggested donaton fees. We currently have 7 vans and 2 sedans to transport clients to and from appointments.
We hope you will help us “Provide A Ride”. Your donation will ensure we keep MAC Van on the road. All donations are tax deductible. Receipts will be provided upon request.
