Mobility for Area Citizens (MAC) Transportation
MAC’s purpose is to provide transportation for elderly and disabled individuals in Fountain and Warren counties for:
- Medical Appointments
- Appointments
- Social Service Agencies
- Legal/Court Appointments
- Shopping, Errands, and Groceries
- Pharmacies
We transport the elderly and disabled from Fountain and Warren Counties to local medical clinics and clinics in Lafayette, Crawfordsville, Terre Haute, Danville and Champaign, Illinois, and surrounding areas. We have five (5) low-floor mini vans and two (2) sedans and currently have four (4) drivers. All drivers hold public passenger licenses and are trained in passenger assistance techniques, CPR, defensive driving, first aid, and emergency evacuation.
MAC is a demand-response transportation program, which means each day is scheduled according to the number of requests, times, and locations of appointments. Riders should call with a pick-up time as soon as an appointment is scheduled. One to two weeks notice is preferred and one or two days is accepted. Last minute appointments are often available, due to cancellations.

FUNDRAISING FOR MAC
Fundraising is crucial to our operation.
We encourage our clients to make a donation for their transportation, no matter how small.
Each year we sponsor a fundraiser, “Provide-A-Ride,” in which individuals can donate and sponsor a medical run for an area resident.
