Affordable Rental Properties
We have rental properties in Benton, Fountain, Parke, Vermillion and Warren counties at this time.
Our apartments/homes are not rental assisted or subsidized as some may think. However, our rents, as a rule are slightly lower than similar units in the area they are located.
Since we receive money from different grants/funding sources, our properties have income guidelines, which we must go by in qualifying a person or family as a potential renter.
The guidelines are figured by establishing a middle point of the area income levels. We then use a percentage of the area medium income (AMI) for the different counties our properties are located in.
Some of our units also require that potential tenants qualify as an elderly or handicapped/disabled family.
