Homemaker Program
The Homemaker Program provides Homemaker and Attendant Care services to eligible persons in Fountain and Warren counties. Referrals come from Area IV Agency. Eligible persons must contact Area IV Agency to be assessed for these programs. Call Area IV Agency at 1-800-382-7556.
Qualifying persons must be elderly or disabled who need assistance with housework, shopping, laundry, and/or bathing. Clients are added to a waiting list by Area IV Agency after an assessment of needs. Potential clients are assigned to various programs (Title XX, Title IIII, Choice, Medicaid Waiver) according to their physical and financial needs.
Once a client has been approved for a Homemaker or Attendant Care program, Area IV and the client select an agency to provide services. Many times, but not all of the time, Area IV selects the Community Action Program Homemaker program. If we are selected, we will assign a Homemaker to a client. The Homemaker and the client will work out a schedule based on the number of hours of service authorized and the needs of the client.
