Children age 3-5 are prepared physically, socially, and educationally to meet the challenges of kindergarten. They enter the public school system ready and eager to learn!

Children participate in a wide range of educational activities either through our center-based preschool or with weekly visits in our home-based program. Parents are supported through case management services that encourage them to reach any goals that they had set for their families. Families also participate in a wide range of activities such as field trips, literacy nights, parent groups, and classroom activities that reinforce how important it is for the whole family to be involved in the education of their children.

Head Start also focuses on preventative health as children receive free dental exams, physical exams, and are brought up to date on their immunizations.

Head Start is supported in its efforts through the help of volunteers in the classrooms and community support. Volunteers provide the extra set of hands, someone making classroom materials, a guide for a field trip, or even someone reading to the children at home. Our volunteers truly make a positive difference in our children's lives. If you are interested in volunteering, please call (765) 793-4881.
